Dear Egypt

Dear Egypt:

Egypt, my friend, I feel your pain as you see your children impatiently cry out demands! Like a mother watches her children stomp their feet in demand for attention they feel they have not rightfully received. Egypt, my friend how I wish I could be with you to help you through this trial for as a mother myself, I know your heart.

I pray for your ability to bring your arms around your children and comfort them in this time of foolish childishness—which without doubt—is to be expected after such a long, long time in the stronghold of corruption. They are as children suddenly out of view of a strict parent with a freedom they have never known. With freedom comes great responsibility, be patient but stern Egypt, my friend and gently remind your children that they must not flounder too long.

Insha’Allah these rough seas you are experiencing will calm to a tranquil pool and from it, Egypt, my friend—you will flourish again.

All my love,

 Roxanne
